Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks and Favorites

It’s that time of year again! The NSale is here for Nordstrom card holders and access for everyone else begins on July 19th.

I’ve rounded up some of my favorite items I already have that are being included in the sale, as well as some of the items I’m picking up this year.

What I have and LOVE:

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings

I got these leggings this winter and they are so great. I’m able to wear them to work with a long sweater and with everything else on the weekends and at night!

They are also camel toe-proof because there is no seam in the middle of the leggings, which I thought was sort of weird at first. Spanx proved me wrong! Sans middle seam for the win.

Thread & Supply Wubby Fleece Pullover

I got this pullover last fall, and although I seriously do not need another pullover/sweatshirt in my life, this one is worth it!

The inside is a sweatshirt like material, and the outside is super soft and fuzzy! I can’t wait to break this out again.

Blank NYC Suede Moto Jacket

My aunt got this jacket for my for Christmas 2 years ago, and I’m still obsessed with it. I have the gray color, and I feel like this is just a timeless piece that will always be in style.

Just a tip, I would size up one size especially if you are sort of in between sizes. I got the extra small and I think I could have taken the small. The arms are a bit tight, but it’s livable.

St. Tropez Express Bronzing Mousse

St. Tropez self-tanner has been one of my go-to’s since I started using it last summer. I have the express and I think I might need to invest in another!

The mitt is key, so don’t forget to pick up one of those as well.

On my wish list for the sale:

Blank NYC Suede Mini Skirt

Okay… I LOVE this skirt and I’ve been looking for a cute suede mini for quite a while now. I know the suede is good quality because I already have the jacket.

Now the debate is: do I get gray to match my jacket? Or get the coffee color because it’s super cute and fall friendly? 🙂

Kendra Scott Ever Pendant Necklace

I have always wanted a Kendra Scott necklace like this! I finally may actually make the purchase I have thought about countless times.

Mario Badescu Trio

This trio has two of my favorite products of all time, and a new product I would love to try!

I recently was turned on to rose facial spray. I have the travel size but I think I need to upgrade, and this trio seems like the perfect opportunity.

Barefoot Dreams Cardigan

My eye has been on these cardigans for about a year now. I think I might actually pull the trigger this year and get one!

Blondo Waterproof Booties

Waterproof?! Sold. I actually have the suede knee high black boots by Blondo and they are great in the horrible wintery mix type slush.

I think that’s it for this year’s sale. There’s a ton of great deals on so many brands, so don’t wait too long!

Happy shopping, xoxo!

Graduation Cap Decorating & Inspiration

It’s grad season! With college graduations in full swing and high school commencements rapidly approaching for many people, I figured I would share some graduation cap decorating tips and inspiration for those looking for a little décor.

In high school, I did not have a cap and gown like most other schools. Girls wore white dresses with our school charm bracelet and the boys, khaki pants with a navy blue blazer, along with the school lapel pin. So for college graduation, I was looking forward to decorating my graduation cap!

Most of my friends had caps in high school, so they went all out decorating them back in the day. They didn’t really want to make the effort to decorate and get materials during senior week. I knew I wanted to keep it pretty simple, and I saw a few other people decorating caps, so I said “why not!”

I headed to Michael’s to pick up some supplies and I was so happy what I came out with. I got some simple gold and pearl letters to put my initials, and then some pearl stickers to add to the edges of my cap. I initially had thought about painting something on my cap, but then I realized that senior week was very busy and I didn’t have the time to think of an idea, paint it, let it dry, etc.

This idea ended up being quick, easy, and simple, which I loved! I even still have my cap on display at home near my diploma, since the pearls looked great with my black cap and red tassel. This idea would look great on any color cap, and is SO, SO easy to do if you are in a time crunch.

Happy Graduation, xx

Game of Thrones Premiere & Cheese Board Debut

Who watched the GOT season 8 premiere Sunday night?! I was so excited for it, and the episode didn’t disappoint. I watched the season 7 finale right before, and I forgot just how action packed it was. Watching that made me so pumped for season 8. I can’t wait to find out who ends up on the iron throne, but I’m sad that some of my favorite characters could face death! ):

Anyway, I had a few friends over for the premiere, so naturally as an entertainer and someone who just purchased a new cheese board, I had to make up a cheese plate for the watch party.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I picked up this marble cheese board with a golden pineapple detail about a week ago. The board came in the mail and I immediately felt the need to buy a bunch of cheese and invite people over, then I realized that the GOT premiere was the perfect time to break out both!

I picked up most of the items from good ole Trader Joe’s (there is one right around the corner from my office, and it’s never too packed, truly a blessing). I got some Cotswolds cheese, double cream gouda, herbed goat cheese, and Dubliner cheddar. For fun other cheese plate items, I used truffle marcona almonds, bread and butter pickles, pita crisps, cornbread crackers (all from Trader Joe’s), shelled pistachios, and some cucumber and orange pepper cut up.

It was all very delicious and extremely filling! I would definitely recommend getting and making a cheese plate for entertaining, as it was the highlight of the night (other than the episode, obviously).

Happy eating! xx

Aerie Swimsuit Picks on Sale for 4 days!

Many people hate buying/shopping for swim suits, and sometimes I know exactly what they mean. Before my trip to Florida, I was looking for a cute but simple bathing suit that was not going to break the bank and not really finding exactly what I wanted for in store at Aerie or Target, and not really anything online.

Thankfully, Aerie has updated their website with some more fun spring/summer prints and styles of bathing suits. They are also currently $17 for tops and bottoms, which is pretty cheap! I added a few extra options that are of varying prices, but they are still on sale.

I think that their bathing suits are good quality, especially when they are having a promo like this, which makes it very affordable. There are also even cheaper options other than the new arrivals.

Taking my Bar Cart to the Next Level!

Bar carts are so fun and versatile. They are a great place to store things in a small apartment, and they also can be dressed up for fun!

This One Kings Lane bar cart was a recommendation from Amy of amybelievesinpink, which my mom bought last year on sale. She decided it was not what she wanted for our house in Martha’s Vineyard, so she decided to give it to me for my new apartment! While this bar cart is certainly different, and more of a statement piece, I actually love it in our apartment. It really adds something to our very neutral look, and is the perfect size to hold all of our alcohol and fun cups!

I have been wanted to upgrade my bar cart in some way, adding something fun to it that would go with the summery feeling this cart already gives from the turquoise color and the bamboo material.

I finally found the perfect items to do so! The first item is this marble cheese board with a gold pineapple detail. This marble cheese board can serve as just a tray that we keep on the bar cart, or exactly what it’s meant for when we have guests over. The second item that will really spruce up the bar cart are these gold pineapple marble coasters! These will really help preserve our table and bar cart from rings and liquid stains, while also feeling cute and summery.

I have had my eye on these items for a while, and the coasters are 20% off right now. The cheese board is also on sale, however today you can get one Williams-Sonoma item 20% off with free shipping on your order by using the code “SPRING” at checkout! I already placed my order and I am so excited to use these.

5 Products I’ve Been Loving Recently

1. Kopari Coconut Deodorant

This product is my NEW FAVORITE thing. After hearing about this aluminum-free deodorant, I saw it at the airport on my way to Florida and I decided to give it a try!

To be honest, I haven’t used women’s deodorant since high school. I really didn’t like it, and I felt like it didn’t actually work, so I started using Old Spice Pure Sport deodorant all the time. No one notice that I smelled like a boy, and I also didn’t smell like weird flowers and have white, crumbly armpits (ew).

Kopari is the perfect deodorant. It smells great, it works really well, it doesn’t feel heavy, and it goes on clear! Plus it is free of harmful ingredients, so it’s a win-win.

2. Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater

I’ve used a few Mario Badescu products in the past, such as the Drying Lotion and the Cucumber Tonic Mask, but this is one of my new favorite products! Amazing on a hot day for a little refresh, and a great afternoon pick-me-up. I use it in the morning before I jade role, and sometimes after I shower, just because! The smell is so calming, and it’s good for sensitive skin.

3. The Oaui Leave in Conditioner

I got this in my FabFitFun box, and I have been loving it! I usually shower at night, and a little of this helps keep my hair tame and less frizzy after sleeping on it. I have lightly wavy hair, and I spray some of this on and comb through with my fingers. I don’t lose the waves, except I do lose the frizz, which is a plus!

4. St. Tropez Express Bronzing Mousse

St. Tropez is the easiest self tanner that actually works well. It’s pretty fool proof and will give you a nice glow, fast. Personally, I think the self-tanning mitt is the key, along with watching this video from St. Tropez!

5. Vital Proteins Collagen Creamer

Collagen is great for the skin, and you don’t get it from other foods (other than bone broth), so this supplement is one of my favorites! I’ve been having the vanilla flavor

I also have the Strawberry Lemon Beauty Collagen from Vital Proteins as well, which tastes great in smoothies, water, and even mixed into cranberry juice (a recent and delicious discovery).

J.Crew Factory Haul

Hi! I’m back from my vacation in Florida, which was super nice and very relaxing. While I was down there I learned how to play pickleball, went to the beach, the pool, out to eat, and SHOPPED.

When I’m with my mom and sister, we love to shop! We are dangerous in a store with a sale. We went to J.Crew Factory and the whole store was 50% off. I got a few things that I thought I would share with you, since J.Crew Factory is always going on sale.

Navy Blue Tank with Gingham Hem

This shirt fits so well. It’s soft and comfortable, yet cute and work appropriate! Currently 50% off + and extra 20% online, so hurry and grab it. It comes in a few colors, my personal favorites were the navy gingham and the gray and white.

Destination T-shirt

I love, love, love this destination tee! I have been to all these cities, and have lived in two of them, so I knew I had to get it. I also love it because it’s a fun plain white t-shirt to wear with blue or black jeans. Plus, there’s a bagel in the New York section, so how could you not?

Broken-in T-shirt

I picked up this shirt in both navy and white. I always feel like I have no shirts, so picking up these two neutral colors will help when I want to wear a pair of fun, printed pants or a bold jacket.

Bow-neck Sweater

Yes, I got this bow-neck sweater in Florida. Yes, I had to carry it back in my suitcase. Yes, it was majorly discounted and totally worth it. I have the light gray bow- neck sweater dress and it’s super cozy, along with this sweater!

Tortoise Sunglasses

I have too many pairs of sunglasses, but this pair goes with everything. I also like having a cheaper pair of sunglasses around, so its not the end of the world or a huge loss if I lose or break them by accident!

3 For $12 No-show Socks

I always jump on a cute pair of no-show socks, just in case they do end up showing a bit… but I love these NYC socks! I also got the anchors and the doughnuts. SO cute.

Scalloped Hem Sweater

I have a similar sweater in this color (just without the scallop hem) and it’s great. The color is fun and makes my eyes pop, and the scallop hem is even better! I think I might buy this in black because I just love it so much.

Scalloped Cami Tank

I didn’t pick one of these tanks up this time around, but I have it in pink and it’s perfect to spice up a pair of jeans. I also find this color works perfectly with some of my Lilly bottoms as well. I really want the light blue color or plain black next!

The code EXTRAEXTRA will give you an extra 20% off your purchase today. Happy shopping!
