After Party Sale Purchases and Favorites

The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is about to come to a close! I know this post is pretty last minute, but I thought I would throw some of my favorite pieces and purchases with the public, just in case there are any last minute shoppers out there like me!

Posting about the APS has become  a blog tradition for me since I started this blog a few years ago. I feel like some years of this sale are a hit or miss. Lilly changes things up some years, such as not adding more items over the 3 days, cutting off shopping on the app during the sale, etc. But let’s face it, most of us still set and alarm at 8AM to get up and hop in that virtual line on the website haha.

2019 APS Purchases

Pearl Romper

I have had my eye on several versions of the Pearl Romper. I tried on one in store recently, and I loved the fit of it! So I decided to finally pick one up this year. I purchased it in the “Resort White Flamingle Engineered” print!

Kristen Swing Dress

“Blue Haven Little Flamenco” print has been all over my insta feed this summer, and I loved it! I decided to get this dress in the adorable pineapple print. This will be another awesome item to wear to work next summer.

Christin Off-the-Shoulder-Sweater

This is a cute piece that you don’t see that often from Lilly! I like that this sweater is a cute fall transitional piece, and you don’t have to pack it away until next year. I wanted “Resort White” but the size small was out of stock, so I settled for the “Coconut Coastal Shell Stripe,” which will look great with jeans this fall.

Items on Sale that I Already Own

Katia Short

I wore this with white tops and my “Summer Fridays” tee from J.Crew this summer on repeat!

Harper Shift Dress

My new favorite style of dress from Lilly! So comfy and very work appropriate.

Alivia Dress

A fancier feel to this dress, I wore it to my sister’s high school graduation last year. I think this could also be a more casual summer wedding dress.

Brewster T-shirt Dress

A classic, comfortable dress that can be dressed up or more casual. It’s very easy to throw on and go! I have this same color and I love it.

Bal Harbor Palazzo Pant

One of my favorite styles of pants, these are very long for a short girl like me. BUT they are the comfiest pants! They feel like fancy yoga pants, which is my ideal pants situation.

Happy Shopping! xx

After Party Sale purchases

This post is fairly overdue, considering the sale is over! However, I kept it pretty simple this winter.

I wasn’t trying to completely break the bank, and truth-be-told I wasn’t that impressed with a lot of the items during the winter APS sale.

A few necessities, some fun items, and some new styles are what I purchased during this sale. Again, I wasn’t crazy about any of the prints and my size was sold out in a few items I had my eye on. I wasn’t that sad about it though, as I feel like all my energy usually goes into the summer APS sale.

Here are my purchases from the winter After Party Sale this week:

Karlie Wrap Romper

I had never actually tried on one of these rompers before, but I liked the look of the style. It does fit interestingly… you have to tie it very tight around the waist to make sure the wrap goes across your chest appropriately. It is cute and comfortable, although I may size up to a small next time.

Large Agenda 2018-2019

I bought a different agenda last year from Lilly, it ran weekly instead of daily and was easier to carry around. I do love their planners, and I swear they were the secret to my academic success. Now I just like to have them to feel organized!

Inflatable Drink Holder Set

These were just too cute to pass up for $5! I can’t wait to use them in Florida in February and March and again this summer on the Vineyard!

Collette Seersucker Skort

Truthfully, I thought that the cute lobster on the side was embroidered. It is somewhat, but mostly sequins which is not exactly my style. It’s still very cute though and I can wear it to spruce up a white shirt!

That’s all for this sale — let me know if you got anything good!

After Party Sale purchases & thoughts

8.14.14_hp1

This post is a bit late as the APS started almost a week ago now, but I figured that I should share what I purchased, as well as some of my thoughts about the sale this year.

I wasn’t really looking for anything specific this year, and I felt like I didn’t really have any big ideas about what was going to be in the sale. I also forgot to set my alarm for 8am last Monday, so after I woke up, it took me awhile to remember the sale had went live.

What I bought:

MARLOWE BOATNECK T-SHIRT DRESS in Cosmic Coral Cracked Up

20099_cosmiccoralcrackedupengineereddress-sf

I have a very similar style dress in a different print from Lilly, and I wear it to work, to family events, as well as more casual dinners. I love the versatility, and this lobster print was too cute to pass up for $49!

JESSE ROMPER in Raz Berry Catty Shack

I was hoping that the Jesse Romper in Stuffed Shells would be in the sale, but I didn’t see it anywhere. I decided on getting the same romper in this print, which I thought was fun, and didn’t really remember seeing before. I felt this was a bit of a splurge at $69, although I love the little white detailing on the top and the skirt!

JULIETTE CARDIGAN in True Navy

29092_truenavy-sf

Every year I debate investing in a Lilly cardigan, as they always pair so well with other Lilly products. I wasn’t really interested in any other pieces in the sale, and I wasn’t trying to spend TOO much, so I decided to get this cardigan for $59.

UPF 50+ SKIPPER POPOVER in Light Blue

I ended up going back to Martha’s Vineyard during the sale, which I didn’t anticipate before. I had been eyeing the popovers, which are another Lilly item I have always wanted, but never purchased! I decided to get this style popover in the lighter blue, it’s super comfy, although definitely a splurge at $49 for a sweatshirt.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchases, however I wish that the sale was earlier than September.  I also felt like there was a lot of items from last year as opposed to this year, and I found myself uninterested in many of the items offered in the After Party Sale.

I did like that they didn’t keep adding items throughout the 3 days, as I would always find myself going on and spending more money on things I probably didn’t need.

I would love to hear other thoughts on the Lilly After Party Sale this year, so comment below if you agree or disagree with me or if you have other thoughts entirely!
